2ND STAGE ADDED WITH DUNDAS STREET CLOSURE & 2ND LICENSED AREA MEMORIAL HALL TO HOST POP UP GALLERY WITH FEATURED VISUAL ARTISTS, MORE CURATED ARTISAN VENDORS, THEATRICAL ZONE ADDED!
[April 12 2018– Waterdown / Hamilton / Burlington / Oakville Toronto] Taking place over the August 18 & 19 weekend, the free to all Waterdown ArtsFest 2018 is expected attract 35,000 + people to the picturesque Victorian streets of downtown Waterdown – the center of a fast growing community nestled on top of the Niagara Escarpment 40 minutes from Toronto. The festival’s mandate is to present world-class diverse visual arts, theatre and music in Classical, World, Folk & Jazz genres, along with arts related activities for youth and children in a family friendly open to all community environment.
Going into its 3rd year, the festival is unique – in its branding as The Festival…refined! as well as its target demographic – young families and those 50+ whose preference for entertainment excludes loud rock & pop music, trinkets and fast food, but rather incline towards fine wines, original art, folk jazz blues and classical music. With expansion of the festival site to include closure of Dundas Street this year, adding a second stage, with new activities and even more curated artisan vendors, the festival expects to double attendance in 2018.
ArtsFest Waterdown is produced by Historic Waterdown Arts & Events, a non-profit corporation located at Griffin House – Arts Culture & Innovation Business Center 23 Griffin Street, Waterdown, ON, L0R 2H0.
Artisan vendors interested in participating in the festival, or businesses wishing to explore sponsorship and branding opportunities should visit www.ArtsFest.ca for more information on how to get involved.
